Less searching. More overview.
Find your animals faster and spend less time searching for them.
The e-bell is a central part of Beitekontrollen. It is equipped with GPS, a motion sensor, a replaceable battery, internal memory, and space for more advanced hardware.
This means the e-bell fits all types of animals and all coverage conditions — in academia as well as in agriculture and reindeer husbandry.
These are four ways Grazing Control can help you
Find your animals faster and spend less time searching for them.
Get notified when something happens, so you can follow up on the animal quickly and efficiently.
Maintain an overview even in areas without mobile coverage.
Learn more about your own grazing area with our reports and integrations.
Position from positioning satellites
Sees activity, not just position
2–3 grazing seasons for sheep
Stores the track even without coverage
Capacity for custom software
All tracking tools use positioning satellites to determine where they are. What sets them apart is how they send the information back to you. There, you choose for yourself: mobile network, satellite, or both.
The e-bell reads GPS and knows where the animal is. The same for all three models.
The position is sent to you through the mobile network, through low-earth orbit satellites, or both. This is what distinguishes the models.
Sensors, hardware, and durability are exactly the same. The only thing that sets them apart is whether they send through the mobile network, through satellite, or both.
Select your coverage conditions above, and we'll point to the model that fits best.

Communicates through the mobile network. An affordable and flexible technology that lets you change the e-bell's behavior from your kitchen table. Outside of coverage, it stores where it has been and tells you as soon as it's back online.
Recommended
An uncompromising option for communication. It uses low-earth orbit satellites and thus has coverage everywhere, regardless of coverage conditions. To keep the price down, the behavior is set up via Bluetooth, and then it reports according to plan.
Recommended
Combines both technologies. You can change the transmission properties yourself while the bell is out in the field, and transmissions are cheaper via the mobile network. If it ends up outside the mobile network, it falls back on satellite.
The e-bell withstands physical stress, temperature fluctuations, and water. It is used by everyone from reindeer herders in Finnmark to large ranches in Kenya — and everything in between.
It is small and comfortable for the animal through long grazing seasons: under 200 grams, with a powerful battery you replace yourself.
Impacts, falls, and squeezing in terrain and barns.
From winter cold in Finnmark to heat on the savannah.
Rain, bogs, and river crossings throughout the season.
Replaceable. In a normal Norwegian grazing season for sheep, it lasts for 2–3 seasons.
The e-bell complies with European quality requirements for electronics and composition. It can therefore be sold seamlessly to other European markets and has become a sought-after product in Sweden, Finland, and Spain.
