The Grazing Management System

The Sheep Farmer's Premier Tool

We equip sheep farmers with a toolbox of features to save time, reduce losses, and increase efficiency—before, during, and after the grazing season.

01

Save time

Five to six weeks of searching every fall costs time and resources. We streamline the roundup.

02

Reduce losses

Sensor alerts notify you when an animal is stressed or lying still while you can still do something about it.

03

Increase Profitability

Data on weight gain and grazing areas provide a basis for breeding the best animals.

The starting point

Grazing Monitor is the sheep farmer's premier tool for success throughout the grazing season.

The modern sheep farmer has a resource that is scarcer than any other: time. With Grazing Monitor, we give sheep farmers a tool for saving time before, during, and after the grazing season.

Do you know the value of the information you don't have?

With positions, health data, sensor alerts, analysis tools, and other insights, sheep farmers can save time, reduce losses, and increase profitability.

An obvious advantage of Grazing Monitor is knowing where your animals are at all times. However, we offer more than this. We can give you insight into the animal's health and the quality of the grazing area.

You know where your animals are, even where mobile networks don't reach

Positions come in via satellite throughout the grazing season. The track log shows time, coordinates, and accuracy for each message, so you can plan the roundup before you head out the door.

  • Satellite coverage in remote areas, hybrid where mobile networks exist
  • Track log per animal with time, coordinates, and channel
  • Map right in your pocket

The alarm comes while you can still do something

The sensor-controlled alerts from the motion sensors inside the e-bell will tell you if the animal is stressed or lying still. This way, you get the opportunity to respond quickly to abnormal behavior.

Inactivity alarm

An inactivity alert can help you get the animal to release in case of being cast, illness, or injury. It can also help you with quick documentation in case of predator attacks or death.

Stress alarm

The stress alert tells you immediately that something is wrong if predators, loose dogs, or people are chasing the animal. The platform equips you with the ability to stay ahead of the situation.

You Draw the Area Yourself

Geo-Fence is the area you draw yourself on the map. The exit alert notifies you when animals leave it, the entry alert when they enter an area you want to keep them away from, such as roads, railways, or cultivated land.

Together with the sensor alerts, it gives you more than the ability to react: you get the opportunity to stay ahead of the situation.

  • Adjust the Geo-Fence to your needs
  • Choose between exit and entry alerts in your grazing area
  • Integrated Geo-Fence for immediate notification

Sensor Data and Sheep Control in the Same Data Set

Grazing Monitor gives you the opportunity to get market-leading information about your own flock and your own grazing areas. We integrate our sensor data with Sheep Control and thereby offer unique information, such as where on pasture the lambs have the best weight gain.

Sheep Control from Animalia gives users a unique opportunity to analyze both the flock and the grazing area. You can actively breed on the best grazing areas and the best animals.

"I invested in Grazing Monitor from Findmy without a penny in subsidies. I don't have time to search for my sheep for five to six weeks every single fall. For me, Grazing Monitor becomes a question of time, not money."

Arnstein Breeds Sheep That Are Easy to Round Up

Arnstein Solem, sheep farmer and co-founder of Findmy, has actively bred for certain traits since he started as a sheep farmer. He values the worth of sheep that are easy to round up, to save time in the fall.

He combines this information with presence in good grazing areas that provide good weight gain for the lambs. This way, Arnstein ensures large lambs that are easy to round up.
