Beitekontrollen

The sheep farmer's foremost tool

We equip the sheep farmer with a toolbox of features to save time, cut losses and work more efficiently — before, during and after the grazing season.

01

Save time

Five to six weeks of searching every autumn is the most expensive item in the grazing season.

02

Cut losses

Sensor alarms tell you whether the animal is stressed or lying still — while you can still do something.

03

Earn more

Data on growth and grazing areas is the basis for breeding on the best animals.

The premise

Beitekontrollen is the sheep farmer's foremost tool for getting through the grazing season.

The modern sheep farmer has one resource scarcer than any other: time. Beitekontrollen is a tool for saving it — before, during and after the grazing season.

Do you know the value of the information you do not have?

With positions, health data, sensor alarms, analysis tools and other insight, the sheep farmer can save time, cut losses and earn more.

Knowing where the animals are at any moment is the obvious benefit. We offer more than that: insight into the animal\'s health and into the qualities of the grazing area itself.

The toolbox

Four things from the toolbox

Pick an area to see what the farmer actually gets.

You know where the animals are — even where the mobile network does not reach

Positions come in over satellite through the whole grazing season. The track log shows time, coordinate, channel and accuracy for every message, so you can plan the gathering before you leave the house.

  • Satellite coverage on the range, hybrid where the mobile network exists
  • A track log per animal with time, coordinate and channel
  • The map in your pocket — the same picture as in the office

The alarm arrives while you can still do something

The sensor-driven alarms from the motion sensors inside the e-Bell tell you whether the animal is stressed or lying still. That gives you the chance to react quickly to abnormal behaviour.

Inactivity alarm

An inactivity alarm can help you reach an animal that is cast, ill or injured. It also helps you document quickly in the event of a predator attack or a death.

Stress alarm

The stress alarm tells you immediately that something is wrong if a predator, a loose dog or people are chasing the animal. The platform gives you the chance to get ahead of the crisis.

You draw the grazing area yourself

Geo-Fence is the area you draw on the map yourself. The exit alarm tells you when the animals leave it, the entry alarm when they enter somewhere you want them kept away from — a road, a railway or cultivated land.

Together with the sensor alarms that gives you more than a chance to react: it gives you a chance to get ahead of the crisis.

  • Adjust the Geo-Fence to suit you
  • Choose between exit and entry alarms in your grazing area
  • Integrated Geo-Fence for immediate alerts

Sensor data and Sauekontrollen in one set of numbers

Beitekontrollen gives you market-leading information about your own flock and your own grazing areas. We integrate our sensor data with Sauekontrollen, which yields unique information — such as where on the range the lambs grow best.

Sauekontrollen from Animalia gives the user a unique chance to analyse both the flock and the grazing area. With deliberate choices you can breed on the best grazing areas and the best animals.

«I invested in Beitekontrollen from Findmy without a krone in subsidy. I do not have time to search for my sheep for five or six weeks every autumn. For me Beitekontrollen is a question of time, not money.»

Arnstein breeds sheep that are easy to gather

Arnstein Solem, sheep farmer and co-founder of Findmy, has bred actively for certain traits since he started. He values sheep that are easy to gather, because it saves time in the autumn.

He combines that with presence in good grazing areas that give the lambs strong growth. That way Arnstein secures big lambs that are easy to bring home.
